Parr & Ibarra
A Full-Service CPA Firm Built for DFW

Parr & Ibarra CPA has been serving individuals, families, and business owners in the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 2007. What started as a small tax practice in the mid-cities has grown into a firm of more than 20 professionals — including eight licensed CPAs — operating from four offices across Tarrant and Dallas counties.

We are not a franchise, a national chain, or a volume-driven tax prep operation. We are a locally owned, independently operated CPA firm where the people you meet at the beginning of a relationship are the same people working on your file throughout the year.

Over nearly two decades, the firm has expanded its services from tax preparation into bookkeeping, payroll, audit and assurance, outsourced CFO services, estate planning, business consulting, cost segregation, IRS representation, tax resolution, and litigation support. That expansion was not planned on a whiteboard — it happened because clients needed more and asked for it, and we built the capability to deliver it.

We serve clients in English and Spanish from offices in Hurst, Keller, Grapevine, and Addison. Most client work can be handled remotely through our secure client portal, with in-person meetings available at any location.

We are committed to offering you a wide variety of services to improve your financial journey.

Adan Ibarra, CPA, PFS, J.D. — Owner and President

Adan Ibarra founded and leads Parr & Ibarra CPA with nearly 20 years of experience in tax, accounting, financial advisory, and — more recently — legal education that informs how the firm approaches its most complex client situations.

Credentials and Education

Adan holds an active Texas CPA license and the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation issued by the AICPA — one of the few credentials that combines CPA licensure with demonstrated competency in financial planning, estate planning, retirement, and investment advisory. He holds Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in both Accounting and Finance, a Master of Science in Advanced Data Analytics, and has completed his Juris Doctor education.

That combination is not accidental. Tax, finance, data, and law intersect constantly in the work Parr & Ibarra does — in business transactions, IRS disputes, estate plans, financial models, and expert witness engagements. Clients benefit from an advisor who can follow the conversation across all of those disciplines without needing to route every complex question to a different specialist.

Adan is also an affiliate member of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), which reflects the firm’s involvement in business valuation support, litigation consulting, and expert witness services for attorneys in financial disputes.

What Adan Works On

Adan personally leads the firm’s most complex engagements — tax controversy and IRS representation matters, expert witness and litigation support for attorneys, business succession and exit planning, estate and gift tax strategy, outsourced CFO engagements for growth-stage businesses, and tax planning for high-income individuals and families. He is also the primary advisor for the firm’s law firm and attorney client relationships, where his legal education gives him a meaningful advantage in understanding how those clients earn revenue, manage client trust accounts, and interact with the legal system professionally.

What Clients Say About Working With Us

Before describing what makes this firm different, the most honest version of that answer comes from the clients who have worked here for years and kept coming back.

Clients consistently describe the firm as responsive in ways they did not expect from an accounting firm, proactive in flagging issues before they become problems, and knowledgeable in ways that go beyond preparing a return accurately. Several long-term clients have followed Adan through multiple firm transitions over the years, which is the most direct signal available that the relationship matters more than the name on the door.

Legal and financial education under one roof

Adan's combination of CPA licensure, financial planning credentials, and legal education is uncommon in the DFW market. Most accounting firms cannot engage credibly on IRS representation, expert witness analysis, trust account compliance for law firms, estate tax coordination with an attorney, or business transaction tax structuring without routing the client elsewhere. We handle all of those in-house.

A firm that grows with its clients

Many of the firm's long-term clients came in for a simple tax return and stayed because the relationship grew as their financial situation grew. A client who started as a W-2 employee became a business owner, then an investor, then someone thinking about an exit — and the firm was able to stay relevant at every stage rather than handing them off when the situation got more complex.

Spanish-language services

The firm serves Spanish-speaking individuals and business owners throughout DFW in their primary language — across all service areas, not just tax preparation. This is a meaningful capability in a metro where a substantial portion of the business-owning population is underserved by general-practice English-only firms.

Tax Protection Plus network membership

Parr & Ibarra is a member of the Tax Protection Plus network, which provides clients with professional audit support and IRS notice representation as a built-in layer of protection. Clients who file with the firm have access to structured resolution support if an IRS notice arrives after filing.

Four offices, remote access everywhere

In-person meetings are available in Hurst, Keller, Grapevine, and Addison. Most client work — tax preparation, bookkeeping review, payroll management, CFO advisory — is handled through a secure remote portal for clients throughout Texas.

How We Got Here

2007 — Founded as a Tax Practice The firm was established with a focus on individual and small business tax preparation in the mid-cities area of Tarrant County. From the beginning, the approach was built around understanding each client’s full financial picture rather than processing returns in volume.

Growth into Financial Planning and Advisory As the client base grew, so did the range of services requested. The firm expanded into financial planning, investment coordination, and insurance services — building out the capability to address the financial needs that sit alongside tax compliance rather than treating tax as a standalone service.

2021 — Strait Financial of Grapevine Joins the Firm In October 2021, Strait Financial of Grapevine, TX was integrated into the organization, expanding the firm’s regional presence in northeast Tarrant County and bringing additional wealth planning and advisory experience into the team.

Expansion into Audit, Assurance, and Business Advisory The firm built out its audit and assurance practice, bookkeeping and payroll operations, outsourced CFO services, and cost segregation capabilities — evolving from a tax-focused practice into a genuinely full-service accounting firm serving clients from early-stage startups to established closely held businesses.

2024 — Parr CPA Joins the Firm In October 2024, Parr CPA was integrated into the organization, increasing capacity, adding experienced professionals, and expanding the geographic reach across DFW. The combined firm now operates as Parr & Ibarra CPA from four locations.

Today Parr & Ibarra CPA operates from offices in Hurst, Keller, Grapevine, and Addison with a team of more than 20 professionals including eight licensed CPAs. The firm serves individuals, families, business owners, law firms, non-profits, real estate investors, and organizations across Tarrant and Dallas counties.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long has Parr & Ibarra CPA been in business?

During that time it has grown from a small tax practice into a full-service CPA firm with more than 20 professionals, eight licensed CPAs, and four offices across Tarrant and Dallas counties. The firm integrated Strait Financial of Grapevine in 2021 and Parr CPA in 2024, expanding both capacity and geographic reach across DFW.

The firm’s principal, Adan Ibarra, holds an active Texas CPA license, the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the AICPA, and has completed his Juris Doctor education. He holds BBA degrees in Accounting and Finance and a Master of Science in Advanced Data Analytics. He is also an affiliate member of NACVA. We work with a wide range of clients across DFW including individual taxpayers and families, self-employed professionals and independent contractors, small and mid-sized business owners, S corporations, partnerships, and LLCs, law firms and attorneys, real estate investors and developers, non-profit organizations, construction companies, restaurants, automotive dealerships, AI and technology companies, and private equity and investment firms. Yes. The majority of our client work is handled remotely through our secure client portal — including tax preparation, bookkeeping review, payroll management, financial reporting, and advisory services. Clients securely upload documents, receive completed returns and reports electronically, and meet with their CPA by phone or video. In-person meetings are available at any of our four offices in Hurst, Keller, Grapevine, and Addison for clients who prefer them.

During standard season (May through December), our offices are open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. During peak tax season (January through April), we also offer Saturday hours from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Early morning, evening, and weekend appointments are available by request outside of standard hours. Remote consultations by phone or video are available with advance scheduling.

New client engagements begin with an initial consultation — by phone, video, or in person — to understand your situation and confirm that the firm is the right fit. Once we move forward, we provide an engagement agreement that clearly defines the scope of services, what is included, and what is excluded. We then request the documents and information needed to begin and set up your secure client portal access. Most clients are actively engaged within one to two weeks of the initial consultation.

Yes. Parr & Ibarra provides full-service CPA services in Spanish across all service areas — including tax preparation and planning, bookkeeping, payroll, IRS representation, and financial advisory. Several members of our team are native Spanish speakers. We serve the Spanish-speaking business and individual community throughout DFW and across Texas.

Tax Protection Plus is a national audit resolution network of credentialed CPAs and Enrolled Agents. Parr & Ibarra is a member of this network, which means clients who file their returns through our firm have access to professional audit support and IRS notice representation as a built-in layer of protection. If a client receives an IRS notice after filing, the Tax Protection Plus program provides structured support in addition to our in-house representation capabilities.

You can schedule a 30-minute or 60-minute consultation with Adan Ibarra directly through our online scheduling link, or by calling 817-562-5375 or emailing leads@aibarra.cpa. Walk-in availability varies by office and season — we recommend scheduling in advance to ensure the right team member is available for your specific situation.
